Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2025
Short version: Litwave collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device. No accounts, no analytics, no servers.
What we collect
Nothing. Litwave does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. The app has no backend server, no analytics SDK, and no advertising network.
Permissions
Litwave requests the following device permissions:
- Camera — used only to scan QR codes when importing an event shared by someone else. No photos or video are captured, recorded, or stored.
- Notifications — used to send a local reminder a few minutes before a scheduled event. Notifications are generated entirely on-device and are never sent to or from any server.
- Flashlight (torch) — used to flash your phone's LED as part of the synchronized light show. No data is involved.
Local storage
Litwave saves your settings and any events you create to your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
Event sharing
When you share an event via link or QR code, all event information (message, name, scheduled time) is encoded directly in the link itself. No data is sent to a server. The recipient's device decodes the link locally.
Third-party services
Litwave does not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking services.
Children
Litwave does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
